On April 9th, 2009 Seoul National University and Anaheim University held the third joint TESOL Seminar as part of their 3-year alliance on the campus of SNU in Seoul, Korea. Dr. David Nunan, founding Dean of Anaheim University's Graduate School of Education spoke to over 150 students and faculty of Seoul National University on "Culture and identity in language learning and use". Focusing on the cultural aspects of language teaching as opposed to the linguistic aspects of TESOL, Dr. Nunan read excepts from his forthcoming yet to be published textbook and discussed the cultural aspects of language teaching and learning.
