On March 31, 2022, Anaheim University established the Anaheim University Akira Yamamura Ferrotec Research Institute in honor of the global technology company Ferrotec Holdings and its entrepreneurial Chairman Dr. Akira Yamamura. The Anaheim University Yamamura Ferrotec Research Institute serves as an online platform for Anaheim University students and alumni worldwide to take part in practical research projects under the guidance of industry experts.

About Dr. Akira Yamamura
Dr. Akira Yamamura established Ferrotec with two people in 1980. At the time, he was president of the Japanese subsidiary of Ferrofluidics Corporation. In 1987, he led a management buy-out of the company and then in 1999 acquired the former parent company. Dr. Yamamura has grown Ferrotec to become one of the most important companies in the electronics industry, with annual revenue growing to approximately US$680 million, 27 subsidiaries and more than 5,400 employees in Japan, the US, Europe and Asia. The original business of the company was distributing Vacuum Feedthrough, which applies Ferrofluid, magnetic field. Vacuum Feed-through is a key component to shield the vacuum environment, and utilized in semiconductor equipment, single crystal silicon ingot grower, FPD equipment, and thin film equipment for photovoltaic application. In 2012, Dr. Akira Yamamura was ranked #24 in Ernst & Young’s “World Entrepreneur of the Year" awards.

Aymen Gatri, Ph.D., MBA
Dr. Ayment Gatri is experienced in leading diverse international teams on strategy, conflict resolution, and lobbying with a focus on optical communications security engineering with track and expertise in various industries and positions, including Cybersecurity, automotive, defense, and Digital Transformation for raw materials to energy industries. Dr. Gatri started as a member of the Youth Atlantic Treaty Association (German section) in 2011, and he is very active in transatlantic relationships. He was selected to participate as an advisor at the European Seminar, a European Youth Leaders Seminar, as well as in the Warsaw Security Forum Young Security Leaders 2018 in high-level rounds of discussion on the nerve centers of security policy within NATO and affiliated organizations, which included an international list of speakers and shifting viewpoints that all promised a rich and diverse forum for communication and information. Dr. Gatri is a co-founder of several start-ups including StartupgateX a Tunisian-based MENA start-up accelerator. Dr. Gatri founded the Cybersecurity Consulting and solutions provider Teligencia, a German base cybersecurity firm aiming to advance and support the next edge of digital and industry 4.0 cybersecurity transformation leverage. He relies on his academic track record in continuing research in the field of cybersecurity as well as innovation management as an adjunct lecturer. Aymen is still contributing to the democratic transition in his country of Tunisia and the African continent within his German background and experience in various fields of expertise among them the cybersecurity & digital transformation policies development as well as the bridge for technology know-how between all continents and the African continent. Dr. Gatri holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Northumbria University Newcastle, an MBA in International Business from Anaheim University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wuppertal.
Nishad Mendis, Ph.D., MBA
Nishad Mendis is currently working as the Manager of Energy Transition for Bureau Veritas, Australia. Before this, he worked for DNV as a Senior Electrical Engineer, Eltek as the Solution Engineer, and Alstom grid as a Design and Commissioning Engineer for HV substations. Nishad completed his PhD from the University of Wollongong (2012), MBA from the Anaheim University USA (2020), and bachelor’s degree from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka (2005). He is currently served as a Board Member for IEEE IAS Executive USA, an Honorary Fellow for the School of Electrical Engineering at Deakin University, and an industry advisory board member for Federation University. Also, he is serving as Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversions.
Sridhar R. Pulikanti, Ph.D., MBA
Dr. Sridhar R. Pulikanti has over 15 years of experience in world-class organizations in the electric power industry. He has been designing commercially innovative & viable solutions in the areas of power conversion, power conditioning, power protection and power systems. Dr. Pulikanti has been working as a global R&D specialist at ABB Ltd, Australia & New Zealand, in grid-connected power conversion systems for critical power architecture designs and power conditioning systems design (especially, Energy Storage Systems). He worked as Senior Power System Engineer & Consultant at DIgSILENT Pacific, Australia. Dr. Sridhar R. Pulikanti worked as a Research Fellow on a renewable energy system integration project sponsored by the Australian Research Council at the University of Wollongong. He has been the author of peer-reviewed international journal publications and patent applications. Dr. Sridhar R. Pulikanti received a bachelor's degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India in 2003, a master's degree in electric power engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden in 2006, a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering s in power conversion systems and their applications in power systems from The University of Sydney, Australia in 2011 and an MBA degree in Global Sustainable Management from Anaheim University in 2022. Dr. Sridhar R. Pulikanti is a Senior member of the Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE) professional organization, USA. He served as Associate Editor for the journal, Institute of Engineering & Technology (IET)-Power Electronics, United Kingdom. He has been serving as a technical committee member for IEEE conferences around the world and as a reviewer of conferences, journals, and patent applications.
